Sam Walker is eyeing up a "huge" result against champions-elect Celtic this weekend. The Glasgow side head to Rugby Park off the back of a thrilling 3-2 win against rivals Rangers, and Kilmarnock will have it all to do as they bid to bounce back from a 2-0 defeat at Aberdeen.
Killie are three points clear of bottom-placed Dundee United as it stands, but if results go against them they could be propping up the Scottish Premiership table by the time Celtic come to town at lunchtime on Sunday.
Walker is under no illusions of the task that lies ahead, but he's remaining upbeat heading into the clash live on Sky Sports.The goalkeeper said: “It would be huge if we could get a positive result, there’s no doubt about that.“We’re two games until the split, if we can put in positive performance that hopefully lead to positive results then we can have a good feeling heading into what will be a huge five games for this football club." He added: “We aimed to keep them at bay as long as possible last time in the league.
That was actually one of the biggest disappointments we had at Parkhead. We’d frustrated them for a long period in that first half.
