Netflix has renewed Castlevania: Nocturne for a second season. The first season of the animated series debuted September 28.
It’s the next installment of the Castlevania universe, picking up 300 years after the end of the original series, which ran for four seasons on Netflix.
It is based on the classic Konami video game series. “Thanks to all of the Castlevania fans old and new for the amazing response and support!” creator-showrunner Clive Bradley and showrunner Kevin Kolde said in a joint statement. “We are excited to be able to bring you more Castlevania: Nocturne and the next chapter in the rise of Richter Belmont.” In its first five days of the series dropping on Netflix, the video game adaptation reached the streamer’s Top 10 English TV List during the week of October 1.
It also reached the Top 10 in 40 countries. RELATED: 2023 Premiere Dates For New & Returning Series On Broadcast, Cable & Streaming Season 1 took place in France in 1792 — the height of the French Revolution.
