Ant and Dec 'petrified' by huge snake while filming promo for I'm A Celeb
ok.co.ukWith just weeks left to go until the nail biting return of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here, show hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have been getting up close and personal with a few jungle residents ahead of the series launch.The latest jungle inhabitant the Geordie duo were faced with, was a large python, who first met the pair while they filmed a promotional video for the new series.
Sharing the clip on Instagram, both Ant and Dec could be seen nervously handling the snake in question with the help of a trained handler, as they both anxiously allowed the reptile to coil around their arms.
Asking the trained handler what the snake was called, it was soon revealed that the snake was named Monty, in a tongue in cheek reference to the classic comedy troupe Monty Python, who shot to fame throughout the late 60’s and early 70s.
Clearly amused by the name revelation, Dec soon asked what Monty liked to eat, prompting a handler to reply that it was mostly “small rats”, before Ant cheekily added: “Small men,” in a subtle dig to his 5’5” co-star.
