A carer raped an elderly woman in her bedroom at a care home before allegedly telling her he would 'come back and finish the job', a trial has heard.

Stanley Ekhator, 36, of Aldermoor Close, is on trial accused of raping the victim, then aged 76, in December 2022. He denies the charge.

Mr Ekhator had started working at the Manchester care home in May 2021 as a maintenance worker but later trained to be a carer after the home started struggling with staffing due to Covid-19, jurors were told.

His wife had been a carer there since December 2020. Try MEN Premium for FREE by clicking here for no ads, fun puzzles and brilliant new features.
