A busy main road was closed for hours this afternoon as police responded to an incident. Hollyhedge Road in Benchill, Wythenshawe, was shut in both directions following a suspected collision.

According to traffic alert service Inrix, the road was first closed at its junctions with Rotherby Road to Brownley Road at 3pm before being re-opened just before 8pm.
