He was replaced by Ridvan Yilmaz - but it may not be so simple for boss Clement on Thursday night.Michael Beale could find no space for Yilmaz in his 22-man squad for the group stage - leaving Clement short in the left-side of his backline if Barisic is unable to make the crucial game this week.
The likes of Kieran Dowell and Jon McLaughlin were also left out, but the absence of the £5million man raised eyebrows at the time despite his patchy fitness record.
