Happy Mondays’ Bez has revealed that he’s lucky to be alive after a brush with death in a motorcycle smash. He was left with shattered bones and busted ligaments after he came off his machine in Spain Speaking about the accident, which happened in February, for the first time Bez told the Daily Star Sunday that he was with a group of professional riders.

He said: “We were off-road in the mountains near Magaluf – it was literally on the way home. I lost the front end and had a really bad accident. “I broke bones.

I broke my foot and did all my ligaments in. I’m just recovered. It still hurts a bit and it’s not quite right, but it’s getting more and more easier.” Join our WhatsApp Top Stories and Breaking News group by clicking this link Bez’s recovery is just in time for him to go back on the road with his new supergroup, Mantra Of The Cosmos, which also includes Happy Mondays lead singer Shaun Ryder, The Who drummer Zak Starkey, and Oasis bassist Andy Bell.
