Ben Cohen's ex-wife Abby, 44, reveals cancer battle in 'incredibly tough journey'
ok.co.ukBen Cohen's ex-wife Abby Cohen has been diagnosed with cancer. The 44 year old mum-of-two, who divorced rugby player Ben in 2016, announced the sad news on her Instagram on Monday 10 July.
Abby told her followers it was the "toughest" news to share but she was incredibly "lucky" to discover she had the disease when she did.
Along with an emotional video of her receiving treatment in hospital as she's supported by her family, Abby gave a heartwarming message to her fans. "This was and is the toughest yet," Abby began. "I’m unlucky, but lucky, to have been warned only once with a symptom of this terrible illness. "With huge thanks to the NHS for saving my life & taking good care of me when I felt so scared & most vulnerable." The photographer went on to share how she coped so well with her diagnosis due to the "amazing" support of her family and friends, but that it has been an "incredibly tough journey".The short montage also featured snaps of her wearing a stoma bag, a clip of her entering hospital, and selfies with her 15 year old twin daughters Harriette and Isabelle.The star also urged her followers to learn from her approach to cancer, as she gave advice about trusting signs from your body. "Never ignore your body when it’s trying to warn you," she said. "I didn’t & it’s given me a chance to live my new life.
