BBC Strictly's Jowita Przystal unimpressed as she's forced to correct Sunday Brunch hosts on live TV
ok.co.ukStrictly Come Dancing's Jowita Przystal was left a bit miffed after an awkward mix-up on Sunday Brunch. She appeared alongside former Strictly contestant, Krishnan Guru-Murthy on the weekend talk show ahead of Strictly's live tour, when hosts Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer asked her about her birthplace in Poland - but incorrectly named her home city.The hosts claimed that she was from the Polish city of Katowice, however, this is not where she is from.
Later on, Tim addressed the mistake, saying: "We've had an official complaint, Simon, from one of our international celebrities.
Jowita, you've complained that you weren't happy because you are not actually from that place I said you were, Katowice." Jowita replied: "I'm not from there so we broke the rules and I've been asked questions about a place I haven't come from." Tim then added: "In fairness, we did ask you where you are from and you said, 'Well, the nearest place is Katowice'," to which Jowita responded: "Because probably you prepared only this question, so I was just kind, you know?" Jowita comes from Czeladz, not far from Katowice.
The dancer stepping in for Krishnan's original Strictly partner Lauren Oakley on the live tour. Lauren will instead dance with Giovanni Pernice on his Let Me Entertain You tour.The Strictly Live Tour kicks off on January 19 in Birmingham and wraps up on February 11 at London's O2 Arena.
