Amy Dowden has opened up to her fans as she told them she'd had a 'big cry' after a big week. The Strictly Come Dancing star has been in rehearsals for the upcoming series for the past few weeks.
It marks Amy's official return to th professional dancing line-up after she was forced out of the BBC One dance contest last year after being diagnosed with cancer.
The Welsh dancer underwent a mastectomy and chemotherapy after being diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2023. She also contracted life-threatening sepsis while undergoing treatment before breaking her foot after ringing the bell to signal the end of her gruelling treatment. She will not receive the “all clear” for five years due to her type of cancer. It was then revealed back in June that Amy has filmed a documentary for the BBC.
