Strictly Come Dancing has addressed the response to its line-up for the 2024 series after the celebrities taking to the ballroom were officially confirmed.

The full line-up for the BBC dance contest's 20th anniversary was officially complete earlier this week, with JLS star JB Gill, Eighties icon Toyah Wilcox and Paris Olympics star Tom Dean among those putting on their dancing shoes this year.

The show will also welcome its first blind contestant, in comedian Chris McCausland, who will compete alongside Go Compare opera singer Wynne Evans, Love Island’s Tasha Ghouri, reality TV star Pete Wicks, Gladiator and Olympian Montell Douglas, EastEnders’ Jamie Borthwick, singer Shayne Ward and Miranda actress Sarah Hadland.
