Attendees at an open mic night were left gobsmacked when none other than the legendary Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour graced the stage.

The unsuspecting crowd at The Neptune Inn in Brighton on Monday night witnessed a surprise performance as he joined daughter Romany Gilmour, crashing her set with a selection of rare tracks, reports the Mirror.

The iconic musician, who rose to fame with Roger Waters in Pink Floyd and later took the helm, stunned patrons as they performed classics such as Breathe (In The Air), Time, and Breathe (Reprise).

Those lucky enough to be present were treated to an intimate rendition of The Dark Side of the Moon hits within the walls of the historic venue.
