Jay Henderson admits he has big Somerset shoes to fill - but pledged to make his own black and white headlines. The winger has already written his name into club folklore by becoming a third generation United star - following in the footsteps of league winning dad, Darren, and Hall of Falmer papa, Sanny McAnespie.Jay's Premier Sports Cup goal at Stenhousemuir last week made it the first time in club history that three generations have hit the net in United colours.

It's the continuation of a famous legacy down Tryfield Place, but one which new boy Henderson insists he is relishing. He told the Ayrshire Post: "I wouldn't say I feel the pressure of it as such - I have my own standards that I set and the two who've gone before me set really high ones.

I have to make my own way now and it's something I'm looking forward to this season. Everything about the move here was attractive for me - the gaffer was obviously a huge selling point and the family link just makes it that extra bit special.

I'm here to kick on and try and make the most of the chance I've got. I feel good in the group here and that can hopefully help me to produce my best."Henderson notched three goals in the League Cup group stage and his creativity from wide has marked him out as a key man for the season ahead.
