Asda unveils Christmas 2023 food range with chocolate covered 'avalanche' dessert

Asda has just revealed a sneak peek of its festive food and dessert range for Christmas this year - and it features a chocolate covered showstopper.Despite still being around five months away, the Big Four Grocer is getting the UK public into the festive spirit early by giving us a taste of what its menu for 2023 will include.Developed over the past 18 months, Asda's festive menu will feature a range of centrepieces at affordable prices, grazing platters, cream liqueurs and, of course, showstopping desserts.

Some of the highlights include the Extra Special Porchetta which has been hand rolled in a bespoke seasoning of fennel, garlic, olive oil and lemon zest for a deliciously succulent roast with a perfect crackling top.Shoppers can also create lavish-looking grazing boards without the price-tag with the retailer's Extra Special Speciality Cheeseboard which comes ready to serve on a slate board and Extra Special Charcuterie Ultimate Grazing Platter.Sweet-toothed fans will also be excited to hear about the Extra Special Chocolate & Honeycomb Avalanche Dessert.

Made from a semifreddo filled with salted caramel sauce, milk chocolate shavings and honeycomb pieces, we expect this to be a real sellout this year.All dietary requirements have been catered for this year, as the supermarket will be offering 57 new vegan and 35 new Free From products.

Meanwhile, its vegan-approved OMV! line will have a bit of a festive makeover with three new products - OMV! Whole No Turkey, OMV!
