Armed cops arrest three men at Scots home over 'shootings' in Greater Manchester

Three men have been arrested in Perth in connection with an investigation into two shootings in Greater Manchester.Armed cops descended onto a property in the Tulloch area of the town as part of a pre-planned operation at 3pm on Tuesday, March 26.

Officers confirmed all three men are in custody.There is no threat to the wider public, the force added. Our sister title, Manchester Evening News, reports that a major investigation was launched by police following two shootings in the Bolton area this month.Officers responded to two reports of gunfire on March 17 and March 21, where a man suffered serious injuries after he was allegedly shot.

Following a raid in the Tulloch area of Perth on Tuesday, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) Force Critical Wanted Unit confirmed two men, aged 27 and 23 were arrested in connection with the incident.A 17-year-old boy was also arrested on suspicion of breach of bail.Detective Superintendent Joseph Harrop, Head of Serious and Organised Crime at GMP, said: "Firearms have no place on our streets and our team are vigorous in their response to stamping out this type of crime, ensuring the public are safe and also feel safe.
