Streaming giants Apple and DAZN could enter the race for live Premier League football ahead of a new top-flight TV deal being agreed.

The tender process for a four-year domestic broadcast deal for Premier League fixtures has started. It will see around 270 games shown live in the UK, an increase of 70, across five packages - down from the current seven.

Currently the bulk of live games are on Sky Sports with TNT Sports and Amazon Prime also having rights. But that could change come the new deal ahead of the 2025-26 season. But there is uncertainty as to whether Amazon will stump up for a package and that could open the door for Apple or DAZN. The latter could seek to move in for the midweek games currently shown on Amazon over the festive period.
