BBC Strictly star Bobby Brazier reveals he doesn't miss EastEnders as he takes hiatus

Bobby Brazier has revealed he is enjoying life away from the soaps as he takes a short hiatus to rehearse for BBC's Strictly Come Dancing.The EastEnders star appeared on Lorraine on Tuesday to talk all things glitz and glam alongside dance partner Dianne Buswell, and revealed he isn't missing his day job on the BBC One show.On Tuesday, Christine Lampard stepped in for Lorraine Kelly on the ITV daytime show.

Speaking to Bobby, 20, Christine said: "EastEnders has conveniently allowed you to disappear off for a little while, how has that been going then?

Are you missing it at this point?"Bobby responded: "To be honest, no, I don't miss it."I miss my friends and I miss the people there, but I have other focuses right now and I'm enjoying it."But I do look forward to going back."It comes as Bobby sparked concerns following his tango performance last week as he didn't appear to be his usual bubbly and smiley self following the judge's critique.The EastEnders star has been tipped as a favourite to win for his performances in the BBC competition over the last few weeks however he received some negative feedback for his latest routine which fans thought made him rather down in the dumps.Bobby was later quizzed on how he was feeling by Janette Manrara on Strictly's spin-off show It Takes Two where he opened up about how he was feeling as she admitted the young acting star looked "a little bit deflated". "Yeah, I was proper [deflated]," he told the host according to the Mirror. "I think it had less to do with the judges' comments.

I was actually quite happy with the judges' comments. Strictly is a journey and I think I was just very tired and glad to have done the Tango and put that all behind me." Get the latest celebrity gossip
