Alfie Boe to perform at major Manchester fundraising ball
manchestereveningnews.co.ukAward-winning singer and actor Alfie Boe has announced he will perform at Manchester's biggest fundraising ball. Alfie has joined the line-up at this year’s Michael Josephson MBE Charity ball held in the city centre on November 16.
Guests at the sold-out annual fundraising event will be treated to a performance from the Tony and Grammy award winner as he officially opens the evening’s festivities, held in aid of children’s and youth charities across the UK.
Last year the ball raised over £1mn for the first time in a record-breaking night of fundraising. Alfie is currently staring as Jean Valjean in a worldwide arena tour of Les Misérables, which will arrive at Manchester’s AO Arena from December 26 - 29. Both Alfie and Michael will then embark on their 2025 arena tour. Now in its sixth year, The Michael Josephson MBE Charity Ball has raised millions for children’s charities with last year’s event breaking records, becoming the first million pound-plus charity gala in the North, raising £1,063,872 net total.
