A representative for O'Carroll clarified in a statement shared with the publication on Tuesday night: "We would also like to clarify that the "n" word was absolutely not spoken, it was implied.
Agnes (Mrs Brown) began the word but was stopped from finishing it by her daughter Cathy, as she knew she would be."O'Carroll, who portrays the foul-mouthed matriarch Agnes Brown in the contentious series, apologised on Monday night for making a racist comment which triggered a BBC investigation, reports the Mirror. The BBC temporarily halted rehearsals to look into the incident, which have since resumed in Glasgow at the broadcaster's Pacific Quay studios in Scotland – with shows proceeding as scheduled, as initially reported by the Mirror.
