Aldi unveils Easter treat range for kids with prices starting at just 49p

Budget retailer Aldi has unveiled its Easter range for this year - with prices starting from just 49p.There are plenty of different products that will be hitting the shelves in the run-up to the day, which children - big and small - are sure to love.

As well as some new characters and additions, this year will also see some returning favorites that have been available in the past.

Aldi has said that this year's range is the "most impressive" yet, thanks to its fun and quirky offerings. Wales Online reports that designs this year include a giant crocodile egg, gaming egg and sundae eggs.

There will also be Easter slabs and a return for Spiky the Shark. He will be joined by two new characters, Herbie the Hedgehog and Marina the Mermaid.The full range is as follows:Dairyfine Giant Crocodile Egg (£9.99, 600g) - on sale from March 12, the egg features a green crocodile character made of milk chocolate Dairyfine Gaming Egg (£5.99, 170g) - contains a fun popping candy surprise in its centre with a design Aldi says has been inspired by much loved computer games.
