Sandy Clark says his young Albion Rovers side have learned to deal with powerful teams, and reckons they’d have lost to Bo’ness United earlier in their Lowland League season. The sides battled out a 0-0 draw at Cliftonhill on Saturday, with Callum Hannah making his debut after signing on loan from Raith Rovers, while Killie loanee Aaron Craig made his first start.A run of nine games unbeaten leaves Rovers 10th in the Lowland League as they travel to sixth-placed Linlithgow Rose on Saturday.Clark said: “Bo’ness are a really big, powerful, strong team, and earlier in the season we’d probably have lost that game, and been bullied a wee bit.“But I think we’ve learned to be much stronger and we’re aware of how we need to play against powerful teams, and I thought we did that well.“I thought it was a fair result and a decent game.“We limited them to very few chances, I think it’s fair to say they did the same to us.“We hit the post in the second half, had one or two bits of chances, but not really enough to trouble the goalkeeper.“There were very few chances from both teams but it was an end-to-end game, with both teams trying to win it.“I thought we defended really well, having to change things about, with Alan Reid being injured.“Adam Fernie played centre-half, Alex McCaw played right-back, so considering we had a makeshift back four, with Callum making his debut, I thought we defended very well.”Clark is pleased with Rovers’ recent performances, and hopes that continues as they try to make their way up the Lowland League table, with up to three games in hand still to play.He said: “We’ve had four games in a row, we’ve got 10 points out of 12, and if you had asked at the start of the run of home games would I settle for that
