Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl dedicated the last song of the band’s surprise set on Glastonbury’s Pyramid stage to their late drummer Taylor Hawkins. The US rock band stormed through a number of hit songs during the hour-long performance – their first time at the world-famous festival since 2017.There had been high speculation that the Foo Fighters would take to the main stage on Friday from 6.15pm in a slot which was billed under the name The Churnups. Included among the more than 30 songs they played were ‘Appetite for Destruction’ cut ‘Anything Goes’, breaking the song out for the first time since 1988.

Guns N’ Roses have announced the first wave of artists set to support them at their British Summer Time Festival (BST) headline show this year.The rock band comprising Axl Rose, Slash, Duff McKagan, Dizzy Reed, Richard Fortus, Frank Ferrer and Melissa Reese, will top the bill on June 30. It will be their first appearance at the festival.The first act joining Guns N’ Roses for the stint will be The Pretenders.

Arctic Monkeys and Guns N’ Roses have been announced as Glastonbury’s final two headliners for this year’s festival. The two acts will join Sir Elton John at the top of the bill for 2023, the festival has announced. On Friday, more than 50 other acts were added to the 2023 line-up, with hundreds more expected to be added in the coming months.

Glastonbury are currently looking to hire chefs and catering assistants to work on-site at this year’s festival.Successful applicants will be catering for the festival’s crew and will be needed from May 26 – July 14, keeping crew well-fed as they set up and dismantle the site. Chefs will be expected to cater for large groups of people and prepare food suitable for vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free diets.Potential applicants for catering jobs are warned that “this is hard work, not an easy way into the festival”.

Blondie drummer Clem Burke has confirmed the band will be playing this year’s Glastonbury Festival.Until now, the only act who had been announced for the festival was Elton John, who will be closing out proceedings on the Pyramid Stage on June 25 in what will be his last ever UK show.Although the festival has not yet confirmed their appearance, Burke has said the band will be coming to Worthy Farm this summer. In an interview with Foxy Radio, he noted that the band will be in the UK to open for Iggy Pop as part of his ‘Dog Day Afternoon’ concert in London’s Crystal Palace Park on July 1.He then went on to talk about Blondie’s other summer plans.

Led Zeppelin‘s Jimmy Page has given an update on new music, revealing that he’s currently working on “multiple projects”.“There’s various things I’m working towards,” Page told Classic Rock magazine in a new interview.“It’s not just one thing, it’s multiple things, and I don’t want to even give a hint, because if you do … you give a one-sentence sound bite, and then if it doesn’t materialise, it’s like: ‘Why didn’t you do a solo album?’ So I don’t want to say what it is that I’ve got planned, because I don’t want to give people the chance to misinterpret it.”Of his new album, he added: “I really can’t put on record what the new record is.
