Sir Elton Hercules John CH CBE (born Reginald Kenneth Dwight; 25 March 1947) is an English singer, songwriter, pianist, and composer. He has worked with lyricist Bernie Taupin since 1967; they have collaborated on more than 30 albums. John has sold more than 300 million records, making him one of the world's best-selling music artists. He has more than fifty Top 40 hits, as well as seven consecutive number-one albums in the United States, 58 Billboard Top 40 singles, 27 Top 10 singles, four of which peaked at number two and nine of which reached number one. His tribute single "Candle in the Wind 1997", rewritten in dedication to Diana, Princess of Wales, sold over 33 million copies worldwide and is the best-selling single in the history of the UK and US singles charts. He has also produced records and occasionally acted in films. John owned Watford F.C. from 1976 to 1987 and from 1997 to 2002, and is an honorary life president of the club.

Aerosmith bassist Tom Hamilton has shared details of his first shows with a new band called Close Enemies.News of the new band comes as Aerosmith confirmed that their days of touring had come to an immediate end, following frontman Steven Tyler seriously injuring his voice at a gig.Now, while the ‘80s icons seem to have put everything on hold, Hamilton has taken to X/Twitter to confirm details of his latest project – including information about their first live show.“Hey, I need to tell you something about a band I’m playing with called Close Enemies.

We have a bunch of good songs recorded. We’re going to release one soon,” he wrote. “Meanwhile, we’re doing a show in Nashville on October 11 in Nashville at a place called Eastside Bowl.

Please come!”The rest of the Close Enemies line-up is comprised of drummer Tony Brock, singer Chasen Hampton, and guitarists Peter Stroud and Trace Foster.The drummer was a founding member of English band The Babys and has also worked with Elton John, Rod Stewart and more.

Foster was Hamilton’s bass technician in Aerosmith, and Stroud has previously worked with names including Sheryl Crow and Don Henley (via Louder).Hey, I need to tell you something about a band I’m playing with called Close Enemies.
