That helped pave the way to co-founding the Athena Film Festival 13 years ago and igniting a wider acknowledgement and understanding of the disparities between gender in Hollywood that “is fully embedded in our culture and is covered by mainstream outlets” today.The podcast “In Her Voice” is an expansion on Silverstein’s book of the same name and will run 30 minutes in length. “The work is not done, far from it, but in order to continue the revolution, evolution is necessary,” she said of the shift in medium.In addition to launching the podcast, Silverstein revealed Women and Hollywood’s new creative consultancy initiative, the Doula Program.
