Janey Godley 'over the moon' as she shares positive health update after scan

Janey Godley has shared some positive news surrounding her cancer battle, updating fans that her latest scan has come back 'clear this time'.The award-winning comedian was initially diagnosed with stage three ovarian cancer in November 2021, and since has explained she will have to fight her health battle for the rest of her life.On Monday, the 62-year-old took to Twitter to update her 289,000 followers that she was 'celebrating a good scan today'.She wrote: "My scan came back and it’s clear this time, which is good news but bear in mind my peritoneum/ ovarian cancer is incurable, it’s treatable and I am over the moon my body is responding to the weekly chemo so far.

Until the next time cancer… but not today"I love being positive but I have to be well aware that I will be on chemo for the rest of my life to keep it at bay until I can do longer stave it off, I am being realistic and celebrating a good scan today - f*** cancer"She went on to thank NHS Scotland and everyone at the Beatson Cancer Charity in Glasgow.

Love you Janey" It comes after Janey opened up to her fans on how tough life has been lately.Despite battling cancer, the star took on a UK comedy tour and she was receiving chemotherapy between shows.In December, she confirmed to fans that her cancer had returned despite getting the all-clear in June last year.
