An eighth member of the SNP Group in North Lanarkshire has resigned over recent events. Central Wishaw elected member Jim Hume, a long standing SNP councillor, has walked away from the party and now joins seven other colleagues sitting as independents.In a short statement, Councillor Hume said: “I am looking forward to working with a group of councillors whose total focus is not party politics but working together for the best interests of all the people in North Lanarkshire.”The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
