Wimbledon's Annabel Croft 'completely heartbroken' over husband's death just weeks after cancer diagnosis

Tennis star Annabel Croft has made her return to television just weeks after the tragic death of her husband, Mel Coleman. The sporting pro, 56, was seen on 3 July at Wimbledon and will make appearances on a string of BBC shows while the highly anticipated event continues.

Annabel is no stranger to the courts and in 1984, reached the third round of the prestigious tournament before hanging up her racket and retiring at 21 years old.

Her return comes after the devastating loss of her husband of 30 years in May. Mel died aged 60 after a "shock" battle with cancer.The couple have three adult children together, Charlie, Amber and Lily.

The former America’s Cup yachtsman, who co-ran a tennis school with Annabel, was diagnosed with stage three cancer after complaining of sudden stomach problems, reports the Mirror.
