Kate Middleton and Prince William's love story is one that is very well known and it's not hard to tell they are just as captivated by one another now as they were when they first met all those years ago.

From loving looks to subtle gestures in public, the couple have many sweet ways of showing affection for one another which surely must be one of the secrets to their long marriage. One of these special moves is said to be a nightly treat that Prince William brings to his wife once she puts their three children down to bed, the Mirror reports. The royals are much like ordinary people when it comes to having a drink for a celebration and a toast to important occasions, or when they just fancy an alcoholic beverage after a long and stressful day.Whether it be a refreshing gin and tonic, a cocktail or a simple beer, they are not much different from us in that sense.According to a close friend of the couple, the Prince of Wales always brings his wife a drink once their three kids have gone to sleep. While it was previously believed that Kate's go-to-drink was in fact a pint of Guinness, it seems that it may actually be something else.

A close friend of the Princess of Wales reportedly said: "William will bring Kate a gin and tonic. They look after each other, but in different ways." William and Kate first met in 2001 at St Andrews University in Scotland and tied the knot in 2011 after years of on and off dating.

The couple are well known for supporting each other's separate projects, whether that be the expert and influential way they combine forces on projects that support their shared interests such as mental health or the way they step back and let the other one shine when their interests are front and centre.
