Prince William, Kate Middleton, Zara and Mike Tindall have been dubbed the 'new fab four' but a royal expert has shared how the couples "live in very different worlds".
The four members of the royal family have often been seen together and share a close bond. William and Zara are biological first cousins, with Zara being the daughter of Anne, Princess Royal.Their reported closeness has brought the attention of onlookers who have dubbed them as the 'new fab four' following the family rift with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Sharing her thoughts on the group, historian, writer and broadcaster Tessa Dunlop told OK! the couples have "totally different setups".
Tessa pointed out that I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! Mike "is a media player, a media commentator and a sports commentator” while future King and Queen William and Kate are "playing a very different game".Tessa said: “William and Kate have a much more constitutional role that is paid for by their sovereign grant, so they’re playing a very different game. "I'm sure they get on as cousins or whatever, and you know, there's a bit of banter and so forth but in terms of the pressures on Kate and William it's a totally different setup." She added that things were different for the 'old' fab four as Harry and Meghan “were working royals and the whole point was it was going to be a working pair." Talking further about William and Kate, Tessa said: "They're the embodiment of royalty that's all there is, that's what they are, so they have to by definition take it way more seriously. "And they are a more formal couple.Their relationship from the get-go was always for a role in training, the marriage was part of the job.
