Millions across the country are set to receive the second instalment of the Cost of Living payment this autumn. The government confirmed that it will begin issuing the £300 payment from October 31 to November 19 for those on means-tested benefits.

The financial support will likely be helpful for households in tackling the cost of living crisis by aiding in paying for rent, bills, food, and more.

It also makes up the second of three planned payments coming from the government, totalling £900. With the cost of basic goods still excessively high, many may already be looking towards the next Cost of Living payment after autumn.
