Wet weather puts the dampeners on golf club's annual opening event in Shotts

A much anticipated annual golf event in North Lanarkshire fell foul of the weather.Past captains had gathered at Shotts Golf Club on Saturday, March 30 where they were due to take part in the yearly opening day event against the club’s current captain’s team.Unfortunately the weather was the winner as the course was closed due to the amount of rain over the previous week, leaving the Captain’s team and Past Captains unable to tee-off their match.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
