Former Manchester United goal-getter Andy Cole believes Rasmus Hojlund is the type of striker the club has been missing following his arrival from Atalanta.
The 20-year-old, who scored in Denmark's slender 2-1 win over international minnows San Marino on Tuesday evening, joined United in August for an initial fee of £64million.
The fee could rise to £72m with performance-related add-ons. Hojlund, who was identified as Erik ten Hag's top target after United's hopes of signing England captain Harry Kane quickly faded, has made a respectable start to life at Old Trafford, scoring three goals in his first eight appearances for the club.
All three of his goals have so far come in the Champions League.
