Shocking nanny-cam footage has captured the moment Asian gold burglars ransacked a home - scrambling for valuables while the family was away on a pilgrimage.

The masked and gloved thieves - one armed with a long screwdriver - are seen casually going up and down the stairs, beside a sign that says 'home sweet home'.

The footage has been released to the Manchester Evening News by Greater Manchester Police as part of a campaign to tackle a spike in burglaries in Asian communities in the run up to Ramadan.
