Kensington Palace have announced the sad reason they didn't announce Kate Middleton's cancer battle sooner - because they didn't know until after her operation.

The news comes after the Princess of Wales confirmed her diagnosis in an emotional video to the nation on Friday evening. The mum-of-three announced she is in the early stages of undergoing preventative chemotherapy treatment.
