New video shows pilots having to abort landings as they battled gale-force winds whilst attempting to land planes at Manchester Airport during the peak of Storm Isha.

The region was battered by gusts of up to 90mph on Sunday as the second named storm of 2024 swept across the country wreacking havoc.

Across the country, a number of flights had to abort landings and were diverted hundreds of miles away due to the 'dangerous' winds.

These included a Ryanair flight from Manchester to Dublin which was forced to land 500 miles away in Paris.
