A vile rapist has been caged after repeatedly sexually abusing a little girl when she was as young as four.Michael Brown repeatedly subjected the girl to the 'truly horrifying' abuse over a decade ago, Cheshire Police said.Brown raped her, sexually touched her and incited her to engage in sexual activity.

He was arrested after the allegations were brought to light to Cheshire Police in December 2021. Following an 'extremely distressing' five-day trial at Chester Crown Court cops commended the victim's bravery.

On Friday, December 8, Brown was sentenced after being found guilty of 12 sexual offences against a child.He was jailed for eight years and six months at Chester Crown Court.

Brown, of Buckingham Avenue, Great Boughton, Chester, will also have to sign the sex offenders' register for life, the MEN reports.Following the sentencing, Detective Constable Emma Flanagan, who led the investigation, said: "Firstly I would like to recognise the bravery and determination that the victim has shown throughout this investigation.
