Vera star Brenda Blethyn opens up on ITV crime drama's 'best-kept secret'

When asked about visiting Hexham, in Northumberland, Brenda exclaimed: "I've been there a few times, in fact, I did a children's story for the Hexham Book Festival. "She later revealed Vera's house, The Snook, is located nearby on Holy Island in Lindisfarne.
Brenda also admitted the Geordie accent was a "lovely one to do", but stressed how "a lot of people have hardly got an accent at all".
Season 12 of Vera concluded a few months ago, with the gripping finale keeping loyal fans desperate for updates on the crime drama.
