Two motorcyclists have been killed in a horror crash on Snake Pass. The pair - a man in his 50s and a man in his 60s - were both riding red Ducati motorbikes at the time of the collision.

Police say the riders crashed on the Holden Clough stretch of the A57 Snake Pass, which links Greater Manchester with Sheffield, at around 1.10pm on Sunday (August 11).

Both riders suffered serious injuries and were tragically pronounced dead at the scene. Their families have been informed. A 13-mile stretch of Snake Pass was shut for several hours following the crash, between Glossop and the Ladybower Reservoir, near Bamford.
