Charlie Colin, the former bass player of rock pop band Train, has tragically died at 58 following a fatal accident. The musician's mother revealed to TMZ that he slipped and fell in the shower while house-sitting for a friend in Brussels, Belgium.
Colin, who was one of the founding members of the nineties group, had relocated to Brussels where he was teaching a music master class and working on a film soundtrack.
He formed the San Francisco band in 1993 with Pat Monahan, Rob Hotchkiss, Scott Underwood and Jimmy Stafford, and they went on to win two Grammy Awards in 2002 for Drops of Jupiter.The bassist left the band in 2003, after reportedly being given an ultimatum due to his struggle with substance abuse.
Speaking to the Los Angeles Times about his time with the band, Colin said: "I had a really great run, but it was difficult." During an appearance on Delphine's Circle, Colin added: "There was a lot of things that led to me leaving, but it really escalated into it.
