A knife attacker who stabbed a man in the neck has avoided a custodial sentence.The victim's friend and police officers tried desperately to stem the flow of blood from his wound.Marc McGarry, 20, of Bellshill Road, Motherwell, was placed under supervision for two years at Hamilton Sheriff Court this week.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
