A thug pushed a man to the floor, kicked him in the head and stole his wallet as he innocently walked home from a rugby match.

The victim, who had watched the rugby at Leigh, was walking home when he was attacked by Kyle Thompson on Brewery Lan on May 5.

He punched him, causing him to fall to the floor where he then kicked him in the head. Whilst the victim lay defenceless on the floor, Thompson, 30, stole his wallet from his back pocket and used his card to buy himself a takeaway on Chapel Street.
