A royal rule involving Prince William and his son Prince George could be taking effect next year, based on what happened when William turned 12 years old.
During a Hello magazine podcast, King Charles‘ former pilot, Graham Laurie, spoke about a rule that applied to Prince William when he turned 12. Keep reading to find out more… If you don’t know, Prince William is the heir to the UK throne, with his son, Prince George, next in line. Graham told the podcast, “Interestingly, we flew all four: the Prince [King Charles], the Princess [the late Princess Diana], Prince William and Prince Harry, up until Prince William was 12 years old.
After that, he had to have a separate aircraft and we could only fly all four together when they were young with the written permission of Her Majesty.
When William became 12, he would fly normally in a 125 from Northolt and we would fly the 146 out with the other three on.” This is thought to be done to protect future heirs by not having them together while traveling, to protect the monarchy.
