BBC One viewers will notice a huge shake-up in the scheduling for The One Show on Friday night as the broadcaster has snubbed various flagship shows. On Thursday presenter Alex Jones announced that the programme will not be aring on the evening of July 14, due to a schedule change, reports the Mirror.Whilst rounding off the show, she told viewers they will be seeing her again on Monday evening - due to the BBC making room for Wimbledon 2023 from 7pm to 9pm.BBC Two will also show BBC Proms 2023 at the same time. The programme will return to its normal slot on BBC One on Monday.Other programmes axed from its schedule include the long-running soap Eastenders.Earlier this month, Alex reunited with her ex-boyfriend Steve Jones in an awkward chat on The One Show. The two Welsh presenters were in a relationship from 1999 to 2002 when they both worked on Channel 4 show Rise, but split after Steve stole an interview with a Hollywood A-lister from Alex.Appearing on the show alongside his ex, Steve talked about his first novel – ‘Call Time’ – about a man who finds an old mobile phone and ends up speaking to his 12-year-old self.Steve described where the unusual idea came from, stating that he was day-drinking in the pub with a close friend of his, and the rest became history. While presenting with Jermaine Jenas, Alex introduced her ex-partner and joked that she 'read all about' Steve's book. However, viewers were not convinced that the pair felt comfortable being around one another after their bitter break-up years back.Taking to Twitter to share their reactions to the interview - which also had Joanna Lumley on the sofa - viewers called out the awkward interview."Steve can't even look Alex in the eye!
