A heartwarming bond has been formed between a woman seriously hurt in the Manchester Arena bombing and the man who saved her life.

Lucy Jarvis was hit by 50 pieces of shrapnel and spent 11 days in a coma after being caught up in the terror attack, which happened six years ago on Monday.

Suicide bomber Salman Abedi detonated his device feet away from Lucy, then 17 and now 23. As she bled and lay in a semi-conscious state, John Clarkson, a technical manager at the arena, helped and comforted her for three hours, the Sunday Mirror reports.

Kindhearted John kept in touch with Lucy as she made her recovery, and helped her return to the arena and gave her VIP tickets for gigs there.
