For many, she became a familiar face on our screens as she took the role of Sergeant June Ackland in the police drama for over three decades.
She was the show's longest-running character before she stepped back from the programme in 2007.The Bill was axed in 2010 and the decision came as a "shock" to Trudie, as it had been on our screens since 1983.
In 2011 she joined the cast of Emmerdale where she played Georgia Sharma for four years until 2015. The character was recently brought back into the village after Rishi Sharma's tragic death - but she is now being played by EastEnders star Lin Blakley instead.
