J. Kim Murphy Party’s over. Apple TV+ has pulled the plug on its murder mystery comedy series “The Afterparty” after two seasons, Variety has confirmed.
The anthology series starred Tiffany Haddish as an ex-cop private eye looking to solve murder cases. Sam Richardson and Zoë Chao also starred as a couple who return to accompany Haddish’s character after getting crossed off the suspect list in Season 1.
Both seasons featured a contained mystery, with single-season main cast members including Ike Barinholtz, Ben Schwartz, Ilana Glazer, Jamie Demetriou, Dave Franco, John Cho, Paul Walter Hauser, Ken Jeong, Anna Konkle, Poppy Liu, Elizabeth Perkins, Jack Whitehall, Zach Woods and Vivian Wu.
The series was created by Chris Miller, who executive produced the series alongside Phil Lord under their banner Lord Miller.
