A supermarket sun cream costing just £3 has come out on top after being tested against premium brands by consumer experts Which?.
Which? tested a range of sun protection products to check how much protection they offered and how easy they were to apply. The consumer group says Asda's own-brand sun cream triumphed in the safety testing, while warning that one high-end beauty brand did not fare well. Which? found that it contained all the UVA and UVB sun protection claimed while absorbing easily, Among slightly more expensive spray products, Which?
testers found Asda’s Protect Refreshing Clear Sun Spray - £4 for 200ml - was easy to apply and did not leave any visible residue after application while containing the required SPF and UVA protection.
