Teens, 17, arrested after series of bus muggings

Two teenagers have been arrested after several passengers were mugged on a bus in Oldham. Police say the alleged muggers demanded passengers hand over mobile phones and other personal items on a bus which was travelling along Lees Road on Friday, May 12.

Two 17-year-old boys arrested on suspicion of robbery have been released on bail pending further enquiries. READ MORE: Join the FREE Manchester Evening News WhatsApp community Det Sgt Michael Ogiliev, of GMP's Oldham division, said: "We took these reports incredibly seriously and I hope that these arrests show that we are determined to bring about justice for the victims in these robberies.
