The inaugural episode focused on Maci Bookout, then a junior in high school, who was dating the mechanic and pregnant with their son, Bentley.
The Bulletproof author gave birth in October 2008, months before the show premiered on MTV.After Ryan and Bookout’s own rocky romance played out in front of cameras both on 16 and Pregnant and its spinoff, Teen Mom OG — they briefly got engaged in 2009 before ending things for good in 2010 — the Tennessee natives found love with new partners.
Bookout, for her part, went on to have two children with husband Taylor McKinney: daughter Jayde, born in May 2015, and son Maverick, born in May 2016.
