Stephen Robinson confirms St Mirren early-season absence for two stars

BY MICK HYDES Stephen Robinson has confirmed that Greg Kiltie and Conor McMenamin will be out for three months. Both players have undergone surgery and will miss the start of the season – including St Mirren’s UEFA Conference League qualifiers.

Kiltie has gone under the knife for an ankle problem while McMenamin issue relates to his patella tendon.The pair’s absence means an early test for the strength in depth of the Saints squad as they prepare for their Euro opener.Buddies boss Robbo said: “Unfortunately, Greg is going to be out for three months; him and Conor probably a similar timeline.“That’s two big blows for us and other players will step up because of this.
